Established in 2017, award-winning Troupe429, housed in a historic landmark building, is a premier arts and nightlife venue in Norwalk, Connecticut. Known for fostering community engagement and bringing strangers & friends together through unforgettable live shows by local talent and international stars, acclaimed dance parties, and trailblazing creative programming. Troupe429 is a vibrant home for the LGBTQ+ community, allies, and anyone who loves a good time. Swing by for delicious cocktails/mocktails, fierce decor, music video vibes, darts, Wednesday karaoke, Sunday night trivia, and DJ-fueled dance parties on the weekend. Troupe429 has Connecticut's longest running weekly drag show: Sienna Says and also the longest running burlesque stage in Connecticut. Some favorite iconic guests at Troupe429 include celebrity fashion designer Christian Siriano, Academy Award nominee Danielle Brooks, 3-time TONY nominee Robin de Jesús, BRIT award-winner Kate Nash, Real Housewife of New York Sonja Morgan, Miss Connecticut USA Shavana Clarke, and RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Ross Mathews!

WHAT IS THE NAME?
Troupe = a group of entertainers, performers, and unique individuals who work and hang out together
429 = "G-A-Y" on a telephone key pad. during the Stonewall-era in NYC, this was used as a code to know if someone else was "429" or gay
Troupe also has a double meaning, because our favorite movie is the 1989 comedy “Troop Beverly Hills” starring Shelley Long
WE ARE TROUPE429!
HOW WE STARTED
In January 2016, the Troupe429 pop-up party began at an underground bar hidden beneath the Italian restaurant Cielo at The Mayfair in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City.
Folks gathered every month to dust off our Nintendo64 for Mario Kart races, catch up with friends over beer pong, bop to throwback tunes, and enjoy each other's company in a fun & friendly safe space.
In November 2017, the party opened its permanent home in Connecticut at 3 Wall Street in Norwalk. Come visit us!
